There are many drivers like cost of litigation , labor union , a safer work place , ILO's ratifications, an inclination towards soft approache to employees, etc.

Now , we shall discuss the role of labor union in this connection. As we know that labor union is a worker's organization which protects their rights and position while setting an employment contract with an employer . Even , union representatives talk to the top management of the company to change the workplace policies , wage administration and worker's safety incase of hazardous work. Union also make collective bargaining process easy and contribution to a sound and happy work environment. Union play an important role in settling the organizational disputes.
