Answer #1

It is important to follow all the stages (forming, storming, norming, performing and adjourning) of team development to encourage each team member to participate independently and help in problem solving. Through consensus or voting, each team member can be involved in the decision making. It is important to increase the team cohesion through setting the ground rules and have common goal to achieve. This will help each individual to understand how to treat everyone, participate, communicate, support, help and coordinate together. Expectations should be set with each team member in terms of what actions are required to fulfill the expectations and complete the assigned task. Brainstorming can also be used to get the feedback from each team member and involve them in the planning discussions. This helps to improve the skills and knowledge gain.
