One such example of Poject scope creep.
U.S. 2010 Census Handheld Rollout
The major idea was to arm its census takers rightly in the field with high-tech handheld devices so that they could directly beam and analyse the population information to HQ as employees dug it up. Because of lack of reach of handheld devices and improprer training mechanism failed in using the handhgeld devices and the census takers started taking the census based on the old-fashioned paper method. They received almost 400 type pf change request in the scope of project.
What could have been done:- Scope finalisation is very critical and it has to be dcoumented. This could avoid further scope creep issues. In addition preperation for project executation wasn't done properly . This affect the overall training and miscommunication.
