I am creating a presentation for a management class and I would just like some examples of specifics to talk about for my presentation. The biggest question I have is:
What are good examples of "lessons learned" about what the managers of a company should or should not do for a company to be financially and competitively successful in a head-to-head battle against shrewdly-managed rival companies?
Should do :
1) Empowerment of employees or subordinates.
2) Motivate his team members.
3) Face the challenges by accepting it and dedicate proper time to resolve any issues.
4) Promotion of organizational brand name .
5) Assist the customers if they approach so that purchase can be done.
For example:
A manager must clearly tell the pros and cons of a product when a customer ask the same . It will close the deal due to transparent approach of the manager.
Should not do the following activities:
1) Make others unhappy by providing no support at all.
2) Never initiate when organization was facing extra effort to be done by its managers.
3) Lack of leadership skills when comes the matter related to team management.
4) Unethical practices and rude behavior with customers and employees.
5) Show poor emotional attairs and providing no respect to his superiors.
For example:
When a senior manager comes to the office of a junior manager,he must say greeting or professional attitude might be displayed. It is do so because judge others on the basis of manner, respect and other personal characteristics too. If , one will not do so then it will give him negative ratings on performance standards.
