I am doing a presentation on the Economy of Brazil for my International Economics class and I’m having trouble determining what to include in the history section and keep it under the 1-2 minute max because there is so much. I’m looking for suggestions on what parts I should include. I appreciate your help.

For the history of economy of Brazil, the facts that need to be included is the colonial rule and how the merrcentile policy of Portugal shaped the economy in Brazil. Then from the colonial period, the relationship and the influence the united states had on Brazil must be looked into. From there there is the economy of coffee over which the most amount of information can be taken into consideration. You can end it with the inflation crisis of 1981 and the stagnation of the economy which is both relevant and important information.
