Describe a couple of situations in which project management would probably not be effective (with explanation).
Project management involves a planned process to manage the project schedule, resources, manpower, and to deliver the product/service to the client in a most effective and efficient way. It is used by the organisation with a strong team, and project manager leading the team, to undertake Various functions related to the project work for completing it before a deadline. Project management is suitable for the activities or plans that are not permanent, and also are not too short. There are some situations, where project management is not suitable:
* When the project requires very less time: project management involves planning, processing, and allocation of activities to the respective members. But, when a project demand very less time, and can be completed in few hours, project management won't be appropriate to use. Because, it will take lot of time unnecessarily to plan and execute. So, instead of applying project management, the manager can directly execute the task and provide the deliverables to the client. For example: marketing agencies, Dealing with advertisement contract will face these issues. Because, each advertisement requires little time and quick results.
* When the team members are very few: project management is least required when the team members are countable or very few. It will be a burden on the organisation to undertake project and simply waste time/resources, and also distribute tasks with less responsibility to each member.
* When the project work is less, and don't require any planning or management approach, if will be better to complete it with available resources and members. With a minimum procedures, and plans, project deliverables can be provided to the client.
