Discuss the major areas of expenditures for schools in Tennessee and you view between rural schools and urban schools in Tennessee. (Is the funding fair?)

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Major areas of expenditures for school in Tennessee are around 90% expenditure is in general expenditure like salaries, establishment, operation of school, equipments and material required for the school. This outlay is optimum because salary and equipment consist of major expenditure in any school.Around 7% spent on capital outlay which includes capital expenditure like building, construction etc. 3% is spent on other expenditure like school welfare and other functions and ceremony etc.

Around 30% school students in Tennessee enrolled in rural schools and 70% in urban schools. When we compare the funding then it is more inclined towards rural school. 30% students capacity attract around 37% of total funds by rutral school. My personal opinion is that the allocation is faire because in rural area people have less income hence need more budgetary support than urban schools.
