The change management is generally a strategic initiative and hence it is applied on majority of the organizational elements, including processes, employees, staff reporting structure among others. The change is generally desirable for the organization and hence is the need to implement the change, because of this aspect it is necessary that we have effective change management team to execute the changes efficiently.
The process of change management is fairly simple. We first understand the areas where we will have to implement and execute the proposed changes. We do not consider the process of identifying the areas to be changed into the change management scope, that ratherbelongs to the strategic department who is responsible for proposing several changes waiting for acceptance. If the changes are accepted then they are transferred to the change management teams. These teams have to first assess the change and understand how the changes will be beneficial for the organization. The team should develop a strategic plan to work towards executing the changes. The strategic development is crucial stage because the change management within an organization will generally face resistance from the employees and hence the changes may not take place effectively. Hence, the strategic development is extremely crucialstage and effectiveness of the change management strategy will determine the efficiency of the implemented changes.
The organization and employees will initially resist the changes because it is the normal expected behavior. However, if we ensure the employee and staff understand the importance of changes and include the other staff as well in the change management pcoess will speed up the change management. This is because when more people believe in the changes being made then the effective implementation of the same is resulted.
