Explain “Knowledge creation process” in an organization. How SECI process support “knowledge conversion” and “knowledge creation”?

Knowledge creation process in any organization would consist of the following steps:

• To maintain a portal using which people can put in their thoughts, those ideas can be discussed and sharing of information of any domain is encouraged.
• A healthy workplace is also very essential, organizations should ensure that there is no reluctance among the employees to speak up and express their thoughts.
• Regular brainstorming sessions and discussions over important issues that affect the organization should take place so as to ensure that in terms of knowledge all the employees are on the same page.
• Any employee that is leaving the organization should be exit interviewed and all the knowledge should be processed and documented so that knowledge loss does not take place along with the employee

SECI process helps in knowledge conversions and knowledge creation in a number of ways. It supports socialization in which tacit knowledge is gained, people observe the society and learns a lot of new things which ultimately creates knowledge, knowledge conversion is supported SECI through the concepts of externalization, combination etc. in which external knowledge is converted to tacit and tacit to tacit and hence all sorts of conversion is supported by SECI model.
