Please explain your opinion as to whether a minor should or
should not be able to form a contract and why? What if the
minor was 16 years old? Would that change your view? Please
discuss your answer and why?
Yes a minor cannot form a contract, As according to the law a minor is one who did not attain the age of majority that is 18. the minor agreement is void one and to enter into any agreement majority is the condition. the contract by the minor has no value in the eys of law and it is also void. it is not forced by either party to enter into the contract. the essential need for the contract are-----------1, the person should be at the age of majority. 2. he is in sound mind at the time of signing the contract. 3. he should not involve in any illegal affair previously. so to enter into any contarct majority is compulsary.
If the minor was 16 year old than also he did not make any contract , to make any contract he should be 18. otherwise it is void.
