Sex addiction is defined as the range of excessive sexual behaviour and desire that adversely impact the life of sex addict in a negative manner.
Sex addiction is not consisted of the list of The Diagnostic and Statical Manual of Mental Disorders-5 or DSM-5, as a legitimate disease.But new researches shows that development of sex addiction is as similar as chemical or drug addiction.
There are no separate categories of sexual addiction but there are many forms of it.

  • Prostitution
  • Pornography
  • Masochistic behaviour
  • Fantasy  

Hence, sex addiction should be considered a legitimate medical diagnosis.
