Evaluating and assessment of performance is one of the most important aspect from an organization's perspective and in order to conduct effective and fair appraisals of employee the organization needs to determine the measures or parameters that are required for the same. The measures and parameters in order to evaluate employees are different and they vary quite and exetent, for example the measures of a sales employee and that of a production employee cannot be identical. If we look at the measures we will be able to understand the differences:

Measures of a Production Employee

1. Quality of the product or service created.

2. Compliance with standards defined or mentioned.

3. Acceptance of the product by the client.

4. Long term performance of the product.

5. Client satisfaction based on quality and specifications

6. Innovative and creative ideas delivered

Measures of a Sales Employee

1. The amount of revenue generated in terms of money.

2. Long term relationship established with a customer or a potential customer.

3. The amount of articulation and communication skills used in each business deal.

4. Innovative and creative approaches used in the process.

5. Future prospect of a deal and if that is going to be long term or just one time.
