In the GCU IRB process some proposals can be expedited providing the researcher approval for a project in a relatively short amount of time. Do you believe that your research proposal could qualify for expedited status? Why or why not? Expedited or not, which components of the process do you believe will be most challenging for you? Why?

Expedited status is something that is considered to be quite rare, as the GCU IRB is quite observant and strict withe their policy of proposal acceptance. The society believes in being thorough with their evaluation of proposal and the acceptance thenceforth.

Only research wherein there can be minimal risk to the subjects, are conformed for expedited research acceptance.

Drug trials which are of approved labels and not new drug investigation and blood Collection for research purposes, are some of the few common topics that come under expedited research.

I believes, that most students can be considered for expedited research as they pose minimal risk to their subjects.

The most challenging procedure can be the review of the proposal, as there is an objective perspective that reviews the paper as opposed to the investigators bias that seeps in.
