Intussusception is a condition in which a part of the intestine telescope into itself.

Appendicitis is a condition in which appendix becomes inflammed and filled with pus ,causing pain.

The symptoms intussusception and appendicitis are same which include vomiting, abdominal pain, irritability, diarrhoea,fussiness etc. But it shows certain differences when considering different age groups.

Intussusception is rare for adults but common in children. Adult intussusception is the result of any medical condition such as tumour.

The doctor confirms intussusception through ultrasound, x-ray or CT scan.
