Will getting a vaccine protect you from Covid-19? Explain

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Vaccines prevent the the disease to a larger extent but no vaccine is 100% effective in preventing the disease. Not all vaccinated people develop equal immunity against the disease. To make vaccines safer than the disease, the bacteria or virus is killed or weakened (attenuated) hence a weaker immune response is expected from the body.

However, vaccines remain one of the best ways to prevent the spread of the virus and an effective way to come out of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hence, vaccine will to a larger extent protect us from Covid-19.
