COVID-19 disease has spread globally, and there is demand for vaccine development. If you are supported by the funding and experts, how will you design a nucleic acid/protein based vaccine or treatment for the disease

Homework Answers

Answer #1

We can design DNA vaccine by synthesis of short strech of nucleotide which designed against conserved sequence and it should be single strand . This SS DNA strentch when goes inside the cells it form complentation with SS genomic RNA and form RNA-DNA duplex and hence can this vurus cannot replicate inside host.

While another way of getting protection against virus is used of capsid protein. So we can clone and overexpress the conserved domain of capsid protein as recombinant protein. This capsid recombinant protein is without genetic material which when go inside host generate immunity against it and develop memory cells now when actual vurus infect than our body has already preexisting and memory cells against this burus cause quick elimination of viruses.

Thanks..!
