Yes,it is correct that the NSAIDs are not recommended to use in appendicitis and asthma exacerbation.At the time when the NSAIDs or the aspirin obstruct the COX-1 enzyme,the formation of the thromboxane and some of the anti-inflammatory prostaglandins is reduced and in the individuals with the aspirin induced asthma,this might lead to excessive production of pro-inflammatory leukotrienes,that leads to serious exacerbations of asthma and appendicitis.
