Acute pain refers to any sort of sudden unpleasant experience which can devastate one physiologically and psychologically to be normal.

The outcome of acute pain are severe but after appropriate medical interventions and rest it can start healing in about a couple of weeks and a good progress in a period of six months.

Whereas chronic pain refers to the same pain existing more than three weeks .Until the pain becomes severe they are able to perform with the level of pain they experience on daily basis.

The progression of chronic pain are often very severe in nature and will lead to problems like mental distress ,depression ,loss of quality of life. This can be relieved if the underlying cause is treated completely .
