This leads to higher mortality and morbidity rates. The income of the people in developing countries has been increased which leads to eating food that is easy and fast to prepare. These foods are processed foods which is energy dense and high in saturated and trans fats, sugar, salt and cholesterol. This nutrition transition leads to many health challenges. There is an energy deficiency from consuming too little food, nutrient deficiency food and excessive energy intake which leads to overweight and obesity.
