One practice/process that has changed or altered because evidence-based research is diagnosis of a disease in a patient as earlier it was more based on the symptoms and less on evidence i.e. tests but now the diagnosis of any disease condition is more based on evidence i.e. the diagnostic tests such as; imaging and lab tests rather than just on symptoms. The outcomes have been impacted as now the diagnosis is better leading to more accurate treatments. Research in the field of molecular biology has led to the discovery of diagnostic markers of diseases leading to a better diagnosis of diseases.
