#American Nurses Association has established the code of ethics for nurses to improve the quality of care delivered to patients ,improve and have professional relationship with the other professionals and stakeholders .The nine provisions like respecting and maintaining dignity ,giving priority to patients ,acting as a advocate and protecting information ,maintain competencies ,accountable ,takes part in research ,creating ethical environment and establishing social justice.By following this it is addicted to provide a quality health care.
#The nursing shortage is a major issue in the US because of the need of more staffs to attend the ageing population ,increased retirement age groups with medical needs ,baby boomers.If they are unattended this can increase the rate of mortality in certain age group just because of no adequate staff .This can greatly affect the gross GDP if the nation and depress them economically.
Nurses immigration for work purposes has increased greatly in the last ten years in US. this is possible only when there is adequate staff in the location from where they move out. If that particular country has shortage of nurse which affects the healthcare sector then the national government will stop permitting them to work in other places .This reduces the number of immigrant nurse and lead to shortage of nurses in US and affect the US healthcare system .
#The nurse patient ratio is in practice in Canada by maintaining 1:4 ratio .Itvjas taken the right decision because this can reduce the nursing shortage and improve the patient care in quality. Apart from this the stress ,nursing burnout and medical errors because of this can be reduced and prevented in health care sector.
