What the goals and objectives of Health People?
1. Improve quality of life through daily physical activity: -
One’s level of physical activity is affected by environmental factors . Improving access to facilities ( for walking, running etc )will promote physical activity. Understanding that personal, social, economic, and environmental barriers to physical activity all have a part in determining a population’s physical activity level, is an important part of being able to provide interventions that foster physical activity.
2. Free of preventable disease, disability, injury, and premature death:-
To attain healthy, thriving lives and well-being, set national goals and measurable objectives to guide evidence-based policies, programs, and other actions to improve health and well-being.
3. Achieve health equity, Eliminate health disparities, , and attain health literacy:-
Achieving health equity is to improve the health and well-being of all.
4. Increase the availability of educational and community-based programs designed to prevent disease and injury, improve health, and enhance quality of life:-
Healthy eating is a learned behavior. By increasing the number of community-based programs (schools, workplace, health-care facilities, local community groups) that offer guidance for healthy eating and lifestyle choices, people of all ages will learn good eating habits and will gain access to good food choices to help improve their diet and overall health.
5. Improve the health, and well-being of adolescents and young adults:-
The financial burdens of long-term costs of chronic diseases in this demographic group have the potential to be vast, and will be the result of attitudes and behaviors initiated during adolescence
6. Create social, physical, and economic environments :-
This helps to promote attaining full potential for health and well-being for all.
7. Promote healthy development, healthy behaviors, and well-being across all life stages.:-
Practicing healthy life behaviors helps to prevent from many diseases across all life stages.
8. Engage leadership, key constituents, and the public across multiple sectors :-
Taking leadership to for action and design policies that improve the health and well-being of all.
9. Provide data that are accurate, timely, accessible, and can drive targeted actions:-
