Eau de Goulard or Gaulard's water is considered as synonymous to the Gaulard's extract. It is a solution made of lead acetate and lead oxide. The name of this solution is taken from Thomas Goulard, who introduced this solution.

The use of this solution is as an astringent. Astringents are the chemicals that lead to constriction or shrinkage of the tissues of the body.

Labelling of Eau de Gaulards includes its product identifier, signal word, precautionary statements, Licence date, Manufacturer label and address, and the hazardous warning as it may cause lead poisoning.
