Answer #1

Answer: The ability to organize your thinking and calmly respond are effective de-escalation techniques that can help to avoid a potential crisis. Communication is a key factor in the ability to de-escalate any situation. Reasoning with a very angry person is not possible. De-escalation is aimed at reducing the level of arousal so that discussion becomes possible. The goal of de-escalation is to try and bring the level of arousal down.

Sometimes these techniques does not work as may be the person is short tempered and not ready to listen anything, it is totally dependesupon the person's nature. Some sentences can be used such as "Empathize with feelings but not with the behavior, e.g. "I understand that you have every right to feel angry, but it is not okay for you to threaten me or other staff."
