- Acknowlede what patient says and affirm that he has been
listened
- Recognising patients initiatives
- Listening actively what patient talks about
- Asking questions regarding occurence of certain events in

- Encouraging describing sensory issues or perceptions
- Nurse may ask patient opinion in relation to particular
situation like what should be done
- Nurse should focus and whatever issue found relevant, nurse
should prompt the patient to describe that
