Answer #1

Medical terminology allows all medical professionals to understand each other and communicate effectively. When everyone understands what a condition, medicine, or procedure is, they are able to fulfill their roles accordingly, whether that is delivering medicine or billing for a medicine.

Understanding medical terminology is important for safety issues. It’s specific. Everything has an exact name - drugs, diseases, anatomy, tests, instruments. There is no vagueness, no misunderstanding when using a precise term. Work can be done faster, more efficiently, and far more beneficially than stopping to explain what you mean.

There’s so much importance in getting the word right and using the right word. Your life can depend upon it, literally. It improved patient safety, improved patient experience.

Because it is based mainly on Greek and Latin words, medical terminology is consistent and uniform throughout the world. By learning these meanings, you can analyze and remember many words.
