1. Performance appraisal is a review of an employees job performance. Performance appraisal evaluate an employee skills,achievements, growth and lack of skills. Purpose of performance appraisal : *provide feedback to each person on his or her performance. *It helps to select qualified personal for promotion or transfer. *To serve as a basis for modifying or changing behavior towards more effective working habits. *It provide data to managers with which they may judge further job assignments and training. * It will improve the perfromace and profitability to organization and for employee too. Regular review helps to analyse the performance of employees and it help them to know about self . *It helps to identify areas for further training needed by employee. *Increase job satisfaction and motivation.

2. To measure productivity at work place need to do regular review on their work. We need to do performace apprisal ,it was measure a periodic formal evaluation of how well personal have preformed their duties during a specific period,it is a systematic, interpersonal, continuous process between manager and employee involving job guidelines and objectives and job description .
