Answer #1

Answer

No, both term is not same, but neurogenic shock cause hypothermia condition.

Hypothermia means a drop in temperature from normal one. It is due to losses of heat more, what is produced actually in the body.

Whereas neurogenic shock is a consequence of spinal cord injury, cause sudden loss of sympathetic tone, autonomic instability has been found on those cases. It manifests various parameters hypotension, temperature dysregulation.

But due to neurogenic shock, low blood pressure occurred, because of the vasodilation that happens, it ultimately cause more heat loss. So, hypothermia condition is seen on those patients.
