Is a single means of egress permitted from a mezzanine within a business occupancy? If so, under what conditions, and what is/are the source(s) of your answer?
As per NFPA safety code, a single means of egress would be permitted from a mezzanine that is of any class type (A,B or C) and under occupancy of a business subject to the condition that the path of travel, which is common, is less than 23 m (75 ft), or is less than 30 m (100 ft) in case it is surrounded by protection of an automatic sprinkler system that is duly authorised and approved.
