identify the factors that may facilitate integration negotiation

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Integrative negotiation is essentially a method where both parties try to find a solution which meets the needs of both. It is a collaborative model. The factors that are needed for integrative negotiation:

1. A common goal- Both parties should have one goal that is common so that they negotiate and cooperate to achieve that goal. A common goal means that one event benefits both parties so they collaborate and achieve the goal.

2. Both parties should trust each other- This is a very important factor that facilitates integrative negotiation. Integrative negotiation would not be possible if there was no trust.

3. Both the parties should work together and be willing to compromise a little to achieve the common goal or objective.
