give four marketers approaches that makes customers buy things they do not need

Homework Answers

Answer #1

In order to induce customers to buy the products they do not even need, sellers will have to adopt a number of strategies:

(i) Price discounts - Discounting products on special occasions, age-specific discounts, geographic discount etc. makes the customer think off how beneficial it is for them to buy the commodity at a lower price now than at a higher price later.

(ii) Benefits - Most off the firms try to play with the customers' minds by depicting what the customers are lacking (say a beauty fairness cream that shows how important it is to look fair) how beneficial the product will be for them.

(iii) Free products accompanying the sale item - this process of offering free products along with the item they want to sell is another famous way of increasing sales

(iv) Advertising
