According to me, rehabilitation is the best way to treat criminals. It is a process that performs re-integration into society of a convicted person. Its main objective is to counter habitual offending. To help shift the focus from punishment to rehabilitation, psychologists are doing research on the causes of crime and the psychological effects of incarceration. The purpose for rehabilitation is to give the offender slack for committing a crime but to teach important morals and responsibility for their own actions and life. Rehabilitation is done to provide the prisoners a second chance to regain their moral values.
