  • Following are the opportunities cost towards research
  1. Time-Research requires a lot of time which could have been invested in some other pursuit.
  2. Efforts-Research demands surveying,going beyond normal to find out what actually matters which requires great deal of efforts.
  3. Money-Research requires hiring professionals,add to that travelling cost and many more costs means lot of money is spent.
  • Following are the opportunities foregone
  1. Job opportunity-Somebody doing the research could have spent that time on some other job
  2. Economic output-Opportunity to actually generate some economic output was forgone in this process.
  3. Action opportunity-Same time,efforts could have been spend on taking the action and then learning as the action would have unfolded rather than researching first and then taking action based on research.
