Answer) Socialization refers to the learning of values, cultures, and behaviour that is acceptable in a society. Socialization helps in developing personality of an individual and it is a continuous process.

I was socialized by different institutions like:

  1. Family: it is primary mode of Socialization. Family teach us the value of compassion, collectivism, organisation, delayed gratification and looking after others.
  2. School: it is the primary link between a child and outside world. School depicts different kind of individual that exist in the society. School helps an individual to become more accepting and understanding towards different individual.
  3. Religion: provides a sense of community to all the individuals practising similar customs, norms, and beliefs. Religion also provides a sense of hope that everything will be fine in the future.
  4. Media: sources like cinema and books make an individual aware about the contemporary values prevailing in the society. This helps in making an individual open minded and objective.
