Ex-Machina, Blade Runner 2049, Agents of Shield are some movies and series that stars some robots, androids, also science, and creationism overall which is/are as capable as human beings depicted on that specific timeline of the respective movies/series. All these were pretty understandable and good to watch. But, in the case of Prometheus, there is a lot of "Misunderstanding" about what the movie actually wanted to depict and what it ended up depicting. You can barely understand the movie If you are just watching it. You will have to "focus" on the movie not "watch" it, and try hard to understand what it is actually trying to say. It can be clearly said that "don't believe entirely on what you see".
Directed by Ridley Scott, "Prometheus" is a magnificent science-fiction film, all the more intriguing because it raises questions about the origin of human life and doesn't have the answers. It leaves the viewers in a complete cliff-hanger experience and with all the anticlimax as it ends mind-bending ideas and several unanswered questions with suspense which often leads to the complete misunderstanding of the entire plot of the movie, turning it into its weakness. The plot which was supposed to be sci-Fi, horror, thriller, and the virtuosity on display makes the weakness of the story all the more frustrating.
Cutting to the trillion-dollar human spaceship en route to a distant world with humans, aliens, and all other kinds of living things (even the virtual ones like robots) onboard it. Showing all the hints of the reality of the origin of human life outside and at the same time, defying Darwin's theory of evolution is actually a bit ironic and more disappointing.
Elizabeth Shaw, is shown wearing a cross on her neck and plays a tough embodiment between faith and science. She also, beliefs life ultimately had a divine origin. Elizabeth and her partner, Charlie Holloway are on an intergalactic quest to find the maker of life, who they believe is somewhere in the stars. And they believe that their makers want them to come and find them. Surprisingly, when they reach the star, they find that their makers did not want them to come after all.
After all the discontent among the makers and the humans on finding out the truth of their origin of life, which they would surely, there comes the ultimate sacrifice of human life. So, that humans could sustain over the robots which is one of the most crucial scenes of the movie.
The entire setup of the movie is discomforting as the reason why and how the movie started is totally inverted with the prologue. It is not actual suspense or thriller, as it cannot explain how and why things happened all over the movie.
