Based on your knowledge of periodic trends, organize the halides Br- ,Cl-, F-,I- in order of increasing tendency to give up an electron and be oxidized to the halogens.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The order of increasing tendency to give up an electron and be oxidized to the halogens. is: I > Br > Cl > F

electronegativity increases as you go right in the periodic table therefore that fluorine is the most electronegative element on the periodic table of all the element . fluorine is above to chlorine means it's less electronegative ,Cl will lose electrons more easily than F,and the trend is continous for halogens.

Do give positive rating if you like it.

Review the discussions below and reply your thoughts on each discussion: Discussion 1 I believe there are many reasons why the knowledge-doing gap has become so common within organizations. For one, I feel that many are faced with obstacles that require some thinking outside the box. Sometimes, you may have to take some steps outside the normal regimen to figure new approaches to solving a problem, and some can be either uncomfortable with this approach or simply unaware of where...
