We did the "avogadro's number" lab in chemistry, we were working specifically with stearic acid and in the calculations we assumed that the molecules were either cubes or rectangular cubes. In my lab report its asking us what THREE possible fallacies of assuming the submicroscopic model is a cube or recangular cube? and what effect do these fallacies have on the result of this calculation? can anyone englighten me.

We did an experiment in my organic chemistry lab. We converted maleic acid into a fumaric acid via an acid catalyzed, HCl, cis-trans alkene isomerization reaction. One of the post lab questions was: Fumaric acid is much less soluble in water than maleic acid. Could this be a driving force for the isomerization? Explain using LeChatelier’s principle.

In an Organic Chemistry Lab we were doing the experiment for the preperation of Adipic Acid. We mixed 50mL of H2O, cyclohexene (2mL, density = 0.81 g/cm3), and potassium permanganate (6g). We got 1.19g of Adipic Acid. How do I figure out percent yield and percent error? Please show all of the steps, work, and answers. Thank you

So my chemistry class did a titration using EDTA and seawater. We were trying to determine the amount of calcium and magnesium in the water. We did two different runs one which told us the amount of ca+mg and one which told us the amount of ca only. I have the moleculare weights, the amount of EDTA used. How do I find the amount of Ca and the amount of Mg?
