The maximum possible theoretical yield in a conventional resolution is 50%. Why?
Because in most of the process we need only one stereoisomer or enantiomer is required. at this point resolution is 50 %
Substrates exists in two enantiomeric form, which are interconvertable or process is quite slow, so we obtained 2 enantiomeric forms in product also due to which theoratical yiel reduces to half i.e. 50 % in conventional resolution. But in modern or dynamic resoluion, this yield can be 100 % due to interconverion of two substrate and by uncreasing the rate of formation of required product.
