Column chromatography	Economically cheap (Cost effective) because you need only a glass column and solvent (eluent) to run the column for getting pure caffeine.	Slow process because it consumes a lot of time for caffeine to elute from the column as it has 4 nitrogens and 2 oxygens which can easily bind to stationary phase and retain there.
