  • use a glass ca filled with sand to collect ashes
  • if walking on road, soak the cigarette butt with water before throwing them in garbage
  • use a wide base tray to collect ash while smoking at home or at work
  • Don't throw in water bodies as it may lead to addition of hazardous/toxic wastes
  • keep it away from pillow or sofas when at home
  • Develop biodegradale filters
  • increasing fines on littering butts
  • expading pulic education regarding its harm
