Pseudoscience.. if we break this word we get pseudo + science.

Pseudo means not genuine. Hence in simple terms pseudoscience is unscientific beliefs falsely presented as science.

Pseudoscience includes beliefs, theories, or practices that have been considered scientific, but have no basis in scientific fact. This could mean they were disproved scientifically, can’t be tested or lack evidence to support them.

How to recognize pseudoscience:

1) In pseudoscientific only the "consensus" argument remains as they cannot be proved by scientific methods.

2)Whenever new observations or facts appear to contradict the theory, the theory is not dismissed or revised, but the new facts are interpreted into the theory, made to fit.

3)The non-falsifiable nature of the theory

4)The authoritarian nature of the movements

5)Influencing law-making and justice

There are many other ways to recognize it.
