Can a B-cell recognize all antigens?
No. A B-cell can not recognize all antigens.
For example, when mice were immunized with glucagon, antibodies were produced against the amino-terminal portion, while T-cells responded only to the epitopes present in the carboxy-terminal.
Though B-cell can bind to different types of epitopes such as proteins, polysaccharides, and lipids, they have to be present in soluble form, i.e, B-cells recognize soluble antigens.
Whereas T-cells recognize mostly proteins that are presented by MHC complex.
