Answer #1

If all is well then you can actually exercise the day after the blood donation. Health professionals give the guideline to avoid exercise after giving blood for 24 hours, and to avoid heavy exercise such as marathons or triathlons for at least 2 weeks. Most people, however, will be reasonably recovered by two weeks and functionally recovered by three to four weeks, if the body has an adequate store and ongoing source of the required ingredients—protein and iron—to replace the lost hemoglobin. During exercise lot of nutrients and energy is needed and after donating blood person needs week to regenrate it. if persone do exercise after donation he will feel fatigue, tiredness, increased blood pressure, breathlessness.

Following vigorous exercise, the body temperature of a 65.0 kg person is 39.7°C . At what rate in watts must the person transfer thermal energy to reduce the the body temperature to 37.0°C in 24.0 min, assuming the body continues to produce energy at the rate of 150 W? (1 watt = 1 joule/second or 1 W = 1 J/s). (Assume that the specific heat of a human is chuman = 3,500 J/(kg · °C).)

After a large number of drinks, a person has a blood alcohol level of 200 mg/dL (milligrams per deciliter). If the amount of alcohol in the blood decays exponentially, and after 2 hours, 162 mg/dL remain, find an exponential model for the person's blood alcohol level f(t) where t is the time in hours. HINT [See Example 2.] f(t) = Use your model to estimate the person's blood alcohol level after 4 hours. (Round your answer to one decimal place.)...

After a large number of drinks, a person has a blood-alcohol level of 200 mg/dL (milligrams per deciliter). If the amount of alcohol in the blood decays exponentially, and after 2 hours, 72 mg/dL remain, find an exponential model for the person's blood-alcohol level f(t) where t is the time in hours. HINT [See Example 2.] f(t) = 72e−0.18t    Use your model to estimate the person's blood-alcohol level after 5 hours. (Round your answer to one decimal place.) 29.3...

During exercise, blood flow in the skin and finger pulp is usually reduced by sympathetic vasoconstrictor nerve activity. After exercise, however, skin and finger blood flow may be increased. Why is the blood flow to extremities reduced during exercise? Why does it increase to higher than normal levels during recovery? What other factors may influence the supply of blood to the skin and fingers during and after exercise?

A study is done to determine whether regular exercise improves short term episodic memory. Researchers randomly select a group of 10 people that do not get regular exercise and give them 1 minute to memorize a list of 40 words. After this, they record how many words each person was able to recall. Then, they have everyone in the sample complete an hour of vigorous exercise every day. After eight weeks they again give each person 1 minute to memorize...

The blood alcohol content (BAC) of a person will rise after drinking alcoholic drinks such as beer or wine. Each person’s BAC responds differently based on many physiological factors. In Australia, a person must have a BAC lower than 0.05 in order to legally drive. Your colleague suggests that you should compare the difference in BAC directly rather than whether the study subjects can legally drive or not. Suppose that the BAC of people under the study conditions who do...
