The antibiotic resistance gene from GE maize was shown not to transfer to gut bacteria in chickens fed with GE maize.

What were all of their reasons that they felt it was almost impossible to transfer antibiotic resistance genes from GMOs into the bacteria in chicken guts or even human guts?

Risk to human ,animal and along with environment:

  • Potential risks of toxins, allergens and other anti-nutrition factor in food.
  • Potential likelihood of transfers escaping from cultivate crops into wild relatives .
  • Interaction with non-target organisms.
  • Resistance of target organisms.
  • Changes in wordiness potential.

Reason:

There have been numerous scientific studies on this issue and it has been concluded that the likelihood of antibiotic resistance gene moving from GE plants to any other organisms extremely remote (<10-14 to 10-27) or virtually zero.
