We take an example of musculoskeletal system with advancing age people lose their bone density and muscle strength commonly women after menopause reduces the calcium deeposition in their bone which condition called osteoporosis that is reduction in the bone density that makes the bone fergile if not treated properly can cause facture even with normal hit.

signs and symptoms includes dull pain in the muscles and bone , reduction in calcium deposition over bones , reduction in height and stooped posture of the patient can be seen that is called  dowager's hump.

yes, it is preventable if diagnosed with time proper calcium , vitamin D in diet , exersices and nutrition can prevent the disease. Exposure under the sun for 10-15 minutes in a day can improve vitamin D level in blood which ultimately improves calcim level.
