Geriatric population faces diseases which have different course from young adult. a lot of elderly people suffer from muscular weakness, balance dysfunctions, memory deficits, and several other physical, mental and emotional problems. All this leads to severe symptoms Elderly people are immunocompromised which leads more severe symptoms.

Some important methods for MA to deal with elderly are as following -

Medical assistant should give more time to elder people. He should listen to all the problems of elderly carefully and patiently.MA should always be ready to provide physical assistance and should be gentle in his touch.The instructions given by MA should be loud and clear. He should use small, simple sentences.Explain all the procedures and treatment precisely and clearly
