As we continue to alter the global environment, the resulting extinction will probably rival that at the end of the Cretaceous Period. Most biologists are alarmed at this prospect. What are some reasons for their concern? Considering that life has endured numerous mass extinctions and has always bounced back, how is the present mass extinction different? The reason for the concern is the changing global environment which is putting more and more species in the endageroured category.we already have lost many species which are extinct now beacuse of this altred environment and human involvement

Global warming, pollution, decreasing resourses and what not all are playing a role towards this extinction
