Blood delivers oxygen to the cells so that they can carry out cellular respiration and carries carbon dioxide from them. The release of oxygen and intake of carbon dioxide by blood is due to change in partial pressure values of the gasses at different places of the body.

2. True. Explanation- Endocrine system consists of glands that synthesize hormones in very small amounts and release it into the bloodstream to reach the target cells. Endocrine glands don't possess ducts. Whereas, exocrine glands secrete several substances that reach at the target cells via specific ducts.
