Septicemia: If a persons wound has gone septic and it was not treated, then the bacterial infection spreads into the blood stream resulting in a condition called septecimia or Sepsis, which can be dangerous. when the bacterial infection spreads into the body, immune system reacts to the foreign pathogens causing whole body inflamation. A series of changes can occur in the body due to inflamation leading to organ failure, which can lead to death. Symptoms of septicemia include fever, low blood pressure, fast heart rate, difficulty in breathing.
