What is the difference between a t-test and ANOVA?
In independent t-test , we test the two means drawn from two different normal population but in dependent t-test the sample drawn from same population and also the sample size is same for both case i.e. before application of treatment and after application.
In one - tailed test , the alternative hypothesis is one -tailed ( either right tail or left tail) but in two- tailed test, the alternative hypothesis is two sided and the critical value is also taken for two two sided in this case.
In t-test , we generally test the one means or two means of a normal population but if we want to test more than two means then we use ANOVA test.so, ANOVA is used for testing more than two means .
